Two men were recently arrested in connection with a break-in at the Mass Firearms School in Holliston, where guns were stolen.
Jason Liberis, 18, of Oxford, and Bryan Ayala Perez, 18, of Johnston, Rhode Island, were charged in connection with the Oct. 30 break-in, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s Office and Holliston Police Chief Matthew Stone.
Each was charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime, breaking and entering from a firearms dealer, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity weapon and conspiracy.
At about 11:19 p.m. on Oct. 30, the Holliston Police Department responded to the firearms school at 100 Kuniholm Drive for a report of a breaking and entering in progress.
Video surveillance inside the building showed there were three people, with two of those people observed inside the gun store.
The suspects were dressed in dark clothing and masks and they stole two semi-automatic rifles before leaving in a four-door sedan, according to authorities.
A multi-agency investigation revealed that Liberis, Ayala Perez and a third person traveled to Mass Firearms School in a car stolen by Ayala Perez from a Rhode Island convenience store, police said.
Once at the firearms school, Ayala Perez stood watch outside while Liberis and the other suspect broke into the building and stole the rifles and fled, police said.
Liberis was arrested in Oxford and arraigned in Framingham District Court and held pending a dangerousness hearing.
Ayala Perez was arrested in his home in Palm Springs, Florida, and will be arraigned, subject to extradition to Massachusetts, authorities said.
The investigation remains ongoing and the firearms have not yet been recovered, authorities said.
