Tuesday evening’s commute could be slippery due to snow and ice across Massachusetts.
The Berkshires are under a winter weather advisory from 3 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday. About 2 inches of snow with ice is expected.
It is expected to start with snow before changing over to a wintry mix, including freezing rain.
“Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury,” the National Weather Service warned.

Other parts of the state, like Worcester and Boston, could get up to 3 inches, while areas like Lawrence could get 4 inches of snow Tuesday.
Ice is expected to be less of an issue where snow totals are higher. Still, the snow could cause slippery roads Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
