After its debut in China, Motorola Edge 70 is now available in the UK and parts of Europe with a thin profile and surprisingly affordable price tag.
The ultra-thin smartphones wars are on, but with Samsung’s attempt having flopped and Apple underwhelmed by the iPhone Air’s performance in the market, it’s unclear what’s next. Motorola, though, is throwing its hat in the ring with the new Edge 70.
This device launched in China in mid-October and is now coming to the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
The Motorola Edge 70 measures in at just 5.99mm thick – a little thicker than both the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air – but packs a lot in that chassis. It has a 4,800 mAh silicon-carbon battery, 6.67-inch display, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset that backs up the Android 16 experience. It also has a pair of 50MP rear cameras (main and ultrawide) and 68W wired charging.
And, for the global market, pricing starts at €799/£699.
By comparison, the Galaxy S25 Edge retails for €1,249 and the iPhone Air for €1,199 in the EU, making Motorola’s device a whole lot more appealing from a price perspective alone.
Will it come to the US? Motorola hasn’t made that clear just yet, but it seems unlikely.
