What’s new in Android’s November 2025 Google System Updates


The monthly “Google System Release Notes” primarily detail what’s new in Play services, Play Store, and Play system update across Android phones/tablets, Wear OS, Google/Android TV, Auto, and PC. Some features apply to end users, while others are aimed at developers.

The following first-party apps comprise the “Google System”:

A feature appearing in the changelog does not mean it’s widely available. Some capabilities take months to fully launch.

  • [Phone, Wear] You can now access Google Wallet in more countries.
  • [Phone] This update allows users to report Wallet transactions linked to the wrong merchant.
  • [Phone] This update adds a country dropdown for user-created passes.
  • [PC, Phone] Bug fixes for Wallet related services.

Google Play Store v48.9 (2025-11-17)

  • [Phone] You can now view upcoming sports events for select apps directly on the details page.
  • [Phone] You can now ask the community questions and share advice about the games you play.

Google Play services v25.44 (2025-11-10)

Account Management

  • [Phone] You now get a clear information before you block Gemini app through Parental Controls.

Developer Services

  • [Auto, Phone, TV, Wear] New developer features for Google and third party app developers to support Maps related processes in their apps.

Safety & Emergency

  • [Phone] With this update, you’ll now get an integrated live video experience when you make emergency calls.

Security & Privacy

  • [Auto, Phone, TV] You can now back up and restore SMS retriever preferences on Android.

System Management

  • [Auto, PC, Phone, TV, Wear] Updates to system management services that improve Stability.

Wallet

  • [Phone] The Cards QR feature is no longer available in the Brazil region.

Google Play Store v48.8 (2025-11-10)

  • [Phone] With this update, users can uninstall apps from the Play Store listing on their phone without using the device.
  • [Phone] You can view all active subscriptions and Play Points earned this year in the Subscription center.

Android TV Core Services v7.2.3 (2025-11-03)

  • Introducing account capabilities for Backdrop and updating SDK version to 36.

Google Play services v25.43 (2025-11-03)

  • [Phone] You’ll now get an improved Parent-managed contacts and School Time features for easier supervision.
  • [Phone] You’ll get an improved Storage section of Google Settings.

Developer Services

  • [PC, Phone] Supports customizing a camera for scanning images.

  • [Auto, PC, Phone, TV, Wear] Updates to system management services that improve Stability.

Utilities

  • [Auto, Phone] With this update, Android Autofill now supports CVV storage and retrieval.

  • [Phone] Pix payment is now available for GBoard users.
